THE HACKMASK
PROJECT STILL IN PROCESS
Systems/companies were not prepared for the coronavirus outbreak with
the result of a breakdown in the global stock of qualitative face masks.
Non-medical face masks being produced have problems like poor lateral fit,
short lifecycle and are mostly not recyclable.
That is why I’m designing facemasks for the fashion industry.
The increasing use of single-used face masks will have a detrimental effect
in the ecosystem.
To prevent this, my designs have to be made with recyclable material.
With the ‘The HACKMASK’ you’re using active antimicrobial materials such as PLACTIVE®️ and MDflex®️.
To get an extra protection against
microorganisms we have to use non-woven
fabric filters of polypropylene
embedded with copper which inactivates viruses.
